IS THE FN® FCU MK3 FIRE CONTROL UNIT COMPATIBLE WITH MEDIUM VELOCITY TYPE GRENADES AND LAUNCHERS?
Yes, the FN® FCU MK3 can be used on a multitude of low and medium velocity grenade launchers. This just requires specific firing tables according to the grenade and the launcher type used. Read Q&A no. 3 below for more details
ARE THERE LASER SAFETY RESTRICTIONS FOR THE FN® FCU MK3?
In high power mode, the FN® FCU MK3? needs special precautions for use related to the class 3B laser. The FN® FCU MK3? lasers have a low power mode classified as class 1 (eye safe).
Only laser pointers are subject to class 3B, the laser range finder is only class 1 by design.
The FN® FCU MK3? is designed to avoid any undesirable manipulations involving a laser safety hazard. Furthermore, for use in training the product has a mechanical switch as well as a specific blue cable ensuring the lasers stay locked in class 1.
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A CUSTOMER TO CREATE SPECIFIC FIRING TABLES ON THE FN® FCU MK3?
Absolutely, there is a firing table configuration software, which after simple training will allow the customer to create his own firing tables according to the grenade and the launcher type used.
IS THIS PRODUCT SUBJECT TO ITAR REGULATION?
No, the FN® FCU MK3 does not have ITAR or EAR constraints.
