FN Herstal, a global leader in small arms manufacturing, has launched a new tactical buttstock for its combat proven FN MINIMI® 5.56 light machine gun.
The Tactical SF (Special Forces) buttstock is adjustable in length to 5 positions and for cheek rest height to 6 positions, and features a convex butt plate. Lighter than the Tactical buttstock already in service, the Tactical SF can be better adjusted for shoulder firing, making it perfectly suited to special forces missions.

FN MINIMI® 5.56 Mk3 SF, featuring buttstock adjustable in length and height
This new development follows the introduction of the Mk3 version of the FN MINIMI®, available in 5.56 or 7.62, in late 2013. The Mk3 offers improved ergonomics and enhanced mobility with all the original technical and operational performances of the world’s most deployed machine gun. Any FN MINIMI® 5.56 or 7.62 already in service can be upgraded partially or completely to the new Mk3 version.
FN Herstal’s full range of FN MINIMI® machine guns, in both calibers, will be on show at its booth at Eurosatory in Paris this year – located at the Belgian Pavilion, Hall 6, Booth no. F 197.
