FN SHOWCASES FORWARD-THINKING FIREARM SOLUTIONS AT DSEI UK 2025

At a time of unprecedented geopolitical and security challenges, FN – FN Browning Group’s Defence & Security division, which includes FN Herstal, FN UK and FN America – will reaffirm its commitment to supporting customers by showcasing a portfolio of versatile, latest-generation solutions at DSEI UK 2025.

With more than 135 years of firearms expertise, including 50 years of manufacturing in the UK, FN –
a world leader in small arms, integrated weapon systems for air, land and sea, associated ammunition, and high-value services – continues to support both existing and prospective customers worldwide through its trusted and proven solutions.

Empower Your Dismounted Troops

The company’s presence at the show will demonstrate FN’s readiness to equip and empower dismounted troops to navigate and dominate the complex and evolving theatre of operations. On display will be the FN EVOLYS® Ultralight Machine Gun and the Winchester® SX4™ Shotgun, which together enhance close combat capabilities and provide 3D protection, safeguarding modern dismounted troops against threats from all directions.

The FN EVOLYS®, developed in 5.56x45mm NATO and 7.62x51mm NATO calibres, combines the firing capabilities of a belt-fed machine gun with the ergonomics and balance of an assault rifle.

The Winchester® SX4™ semi-automatic shotgun – from the Hunting & Sport Shooting division of FN Browning Group – has become the weapon of choice for C-UAS operations, engaging small airborne targets such as drones, which are increasingly being used to directly threaten infantry units that currently lack effective defences against aerial threats.

By adding the SX4™ to its portfolio, FN capitalises on the global group’s expertise and synergies to deliver proven, mission-ready solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern operations.

Maximise The Potential of Your Weapon Mounts

With FN’s unparalleled expertise in pintle weapon systems, the FN® MULTI WEAPON MOUNT (MWM) will also be featured at DSEI 2025. Its multi-calibre and multi-mission configurations make this modular, versatile system – designed to integrate legacy, current, and next-generation FN machine guns – capable of integrating all types of land and naval carriers for use in support and auto-protection missions.

The FN® MWM comes as a full package with added-value items, including the FN SMARTCORE® shot counter and associated software, which track the weapon’s digital lifecycle for optimized and simplified maintainability, as well as the FN ELITY® LITE, a state-of-the-art laser range finder providing unmatched accuracy, alongside an IR illuminator and laser pointer. The naval variant, the FN® SEA MWM, has been tested and qualified for use in extreme maritime conditions.

FN holds the unique advantage of delivering fully qualified solutions across the weapon, ammunition, pintle, accessories combination, while also providing comprehensive training for customers’ teams.

Streamline Your ILS

As a global leader in firearm design and manufacture, FN continues to set the standard for operational readiness and efficiency. The company provides flexible, integrated logistics support (ILS), enhancing the performance and availability of both FN and non-FN weapons.

Central to these offerings is the FN® SMART ARMOURY, which harnesses advanced technologies and materials to deliver digital management of weapons and accessories, including preventive maintenance. Building on decades of operational experience, FN also provides comprehensive Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, available at its facilities in Belgium, the UK or the US, or directly at customer sites.

FN further supports customers with inventory forecasting, usage planning, and expert training programmes that equip customer armourers with the skills to operate independently and efficiently. Through these solutions, FN reinforces its commitment to innovation and operational excellence worldwide.

Secure Your Ammunition Supply

As a leading firearms manufacturer and the original designer of the most widely adopted NATO standard calibres, and the undisputed .50 cal system provider (FN® M2HB QCB, FN® M3, ammunition), FN offers a broad range of secure and integrated manufacturing solutions to ensure uninterrupted access to premium quality ammunition. These can be implemented either at FN’s own facilities – where production capacity continues to increase through significant investment – or directly at the customer’s site through technology transfer projects, providing flexibility and adaptability in meeting demand.

Building on this, FN secured a strategic 20-year partnership with the Belgian government in 2024. This partnership encompasses the integrated small calibre system – including weapons, accessories and ammunition throughout their life cycle. This multinational framework is open to other European and NATO countries, enabling them to address their long-term ammunition needs efficiently. The overarching objective is to strengthen strategic autonomy and guarantee the security of supply for both the European Union and NATO, supporting resilience and operational readiness across member nations.

Overall, partnering with FN translates into total support, with the long-established company acting as a trusted ally that provides comprehensive solutions, operational expertise, and long-term service to ensure sustained efficiency and reliability.
